Nvidia to bring the Battlebox Experience to Mumbai next month.

Nvidia’s GeForce team recently showed us its Battlebox systems which will be showcased across major Indian cities. Mumbai gamers will get to experience the Battlebox rigs from May 1st to 8th.

Battlebox rigs was a concept introduced by Nvidia last yearwhere in it teams up with multiple partners such as ASUS, Cooler Master, Adata and so on to build up a custom rig across a price range.

Branded the Typhoon Junior, Typhoon Senior, Enigma, Titan Junior and Titan Senior, these systems are priced between Rs 40,000 to over Rs 1,50,000, featuring a variety of configurations and catering to varied budget categories.

These rigs comprise of Nvidia GeForce cards such as ASUS GTX 750 for the most economical rig to ASUS GTX 780Ti DC2OC for the highest end rig. Each rig comprises different components and users are free to mix and match components shown above.

Sadly though, the Battlebox only comprises the hardware part and it does not come bundled with the operating system. Speaking to tech2, Nikhil Kohli, Head Distribution, Nvidia said, “We are concentrating on getting the hardware right. At the moment we are not giving away any free bundled games. But we do plan to bundle games in the future.”

Nvidia Battlebox rigs will come with the Battlebox GeForce GTX logo, which approves the rig as being 4K gaming ready. Thanks to the latest generation GeForce graphics cards, the Battlebox rigs will sport Nvidia features such as GeForce Experience, ShadowPlay, Game streaming, PhysX, GPU Boost 2.0, TXAA and 3D Vision.

In order to create awareness about the Battlebox programme, Nvidia will create ‘experience zones’ in major cities across India, to give gaming enthusiasts to check out the gaming experience on a Battlebox rig. The Mumbai leg of the Battlebox programme will be held at Korum Mall in Thane from May 1 to 4 and at Ashar IT Park from May 5 to 8.
