Lenovo has launched the S860 mid-ranger in India and it’s all set to take on the likes of the HTC Desire 816 and Sony Xperia T2 Ultra in the sub-Rs 25,000 segment. Priced at Rs 21,500, the Lenovo S860 is available on pre-order at the company’s e-store from today and will go on sale on May 3.
The highlight of the device is its battery life. With a monstrous 4000 mAh battery, Lenovo says the S860 is capable of delivering 24 hours of talk time and can also charge other devices via the microUSB port.
It features a 5.3-inch screen IPS display with 1,280×720 pixel resolution. Just like much of the competition in this price range, the S860 is powered by a quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The MediaTek MT6582′s CPU is clocked at 1.3GHz. On the camera front, it gets an 8MP rear snapper and a 1.6MP front camera. The device runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and the company reportedly plans a KitKat update in the future. The onboard storage of the S860 is 16GB, but there’s no microSD card slot.
The S860 features a brushed-metal unibody exterior that looks quite classy. In India, only the dark grey body has been put up for sale. In terms of connectivity, you will find two SIM slots in the S860 which support up to HSPA for cellular data. You will also find support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0.
