LG G Watch is going to be available in two colour options and come with features such as Ok Google and Always on display. However, the main highlight of the smartwatch is water and dust resistance.
Last month LG announced plans to launch a smartwatch based on Google's wearable-centric Android Wear platform. Branded as the 'G Watch', LG revealed the smartwatch will be launched by the second quarter of this year. LG recently put up a teaser image on its Twitter account, building hype around its new wearable device. And now, the company has released more information about the G Watch.
The LG G Watch will be available in two colour options – stealth black and champagne gold, both with plain rubber straps and a flat display. According to LG's official G Watch website, the smartwatch will be water and dust resistant, allowing users to wear it during outdoor activities in “rough conditions”.
LG claims the Always On feature, the display will never sleep. It's notable Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 display wakes with a movement of your arm. As you already know, the G Watch is compatible with a wide range of Android smartphones and support features like “Ok Google”.
So far, there's no word on the pricing of the G Watch. LG has already announced first Android Wear based smartwatch by the second quarter of 2014.
