Auxus Nuclea X, cheapest octa-core smartphone, launched for Rs 12,999

iBerry will soon be launching the cheapest octa-core smartphone in the Indian market. Dubbed Auxus Nuclea X, the smartphone will come with a Mediatek chipset for an unbelievably low price tag of Rs 12,999. The company will also launch a low-cost variant of Nuclea X. Both the smartphones will be available from May 5 exclusively on eBay.

Auxus Nuclea X is a dual-SIM smartphone that sports a 5-inch OGS display with 720 resolution. The phone has 1.7GHz Octa Core MT6592 processor under its hood. Although the official website claims that the phone has 2GB RAM, company’s press release says it is 1GB of RAM. We are not yet sure which one to go with. It also has the multi-core Mali 450 as its GPU. The phone comes with Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box and can be upgraded to higher version, though how exactly has not been mentioned.

Auxus Nuclea X has a 13MP rear camera with flash. The front camera comes with 8MP resolution which is a feature that you will not find in many smartphones. The on-board storage space is 8GB which is expandable upto 64GB courtesy the microSD card slot of the phone. The phone is powered by a 2800 mAh Li-Ion battery, if you go by the press release, while the website claims the phone has a 3500 mAh battery.

The phone has Bluetooth v4.0, 3G, GPS with AGPS, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi as connectivity features.

Auxus Handy H01 is the low-cost option from iBerry. The dual-SIM(3G+2G) smartphone comes with a 4-inch IPS display. Under its hood is 1.3GHz Dual Core MT6572 processor that has been teamed up with 512MB RAM. Auxus Handy H01 has a 3MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera. It is powered by 1800 mAh battery. Connectivity features list of the phone include GPS, 3G, Bluetooth. The smartphone is also exclusively available on eBay for Rs 4,990.
