Samsung Galaxy S8: Yet another leaked image of the phone pops up online; this time on Weibo

An image of what is alleged to be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 has apparently been floating around Weibo for a couple of weeks now.
GizChina picked up the image from Weibo and posted it on its site. Judging by the image, the phone looks almost exactly like a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, but with smaller bezels and sans a home button. It’s also in a hideous shade of shiny gold.

Interestingly, the alleged image of the device is different from the renders of the Galaxy S8 that were leaked to GSMArena by a smartphone case maker. Note the position of the ambient light sensor and camera.

Other than that, there’s nothing else to say about the leak really. The usual disclaimers apply of course. This is an unconfirmed leak of a device that is claimed to be the Samsung Galaxy S8.
The actual device is expected to debut at MWC 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. From what we’ve heard, Samsung is expected to throw everything, including the kitchen sink, into the new smartphone. Obviously, you can expect the internals to be the best available in the market at the time of launch. Samsung is sure to up the camera quality as well.
The software side will be more interesting because Samsung might be gearing up to launch its own AI for its flagships. The company is also reported to be working on a slightly redesigned UI as part of its Android 7.0 update for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices.
