Twitter may buy Justin Bieber’s selfie app, ‘Shots': Report

Twitter is in talks to buy Shots, a selfie photo-sharing app, CNBC reported, citing a source close to the Justin Bieber-backed company.
The microblogging website is particularly interested in the app’s more than 3 million users, nearly two-thirds of whom are women under 24, CNBC said.
A Twitter spokesperson said the company does not comment on rumor and speculation. Shots could not be reached immediately for comment.
Recent reports suggest that Twitter Finance head Anthony Noto had tweeted out an acquisition plan instead of sending it via DM (Direct Message). While Twitter has refused to comment on the matter, it is still unclear which company the CFO is talking about. However, the guessing and speculating has already begun.
NYTimes report points out it could be a news startup called Mic, as the Twitter executive had recently started following  several executives of that company.
In another famous DM failure, Anthony Weiner, a former lawmaker faced a similar situation.  A Twitter post with suggestive content appeared on his account. He tried to cover up by claiming that his account had been hacked, but soon this was found to not be the case at all.
